Firewood is good to gasification and is bad for cellulose production till eucalyptus whose lignin content is near 27 percent needed an high percentage of soda to break cellulose from lignin producing black liquor.

With very kind regard to our most contributing Benjamin , some tribute for your several very post in our list as South America , from where we are there, is far ahead experimenting energy problems ;making new model for decentralized energy production too as all sugarcane factory are also becoming the Energy production unit ,thus contributing , the low cost of ethanol production in our country.If not, other wise, ethanol alone is not viable even in Brazil with its vast lands , water , but the technology you have correctly pointed out in your recent post is the innovative ecological way the food and energy problems that need to be solved.I wise our list member from India ,Africa, Australia, Thailand and Asia all also need to look into our South American energy and food production model, in order to make their one , not following the Centralized Developed Nation model of isolated energy production units, as Biomass can play its key role , more important too our biomass group too , this how now Brazilian economy is not affected, very few country who has escaped the inflation , energy crisis as well as food .
